Selling your home: the roadmap from first meeting to handover

Natasja Cornelissen

Selling your home starts with good preparation and a realistic asking price — and ends at the notary with the key handover. This roadmap takes you through the whole process, from the first meeting to the moment everything is in black and white.

Step 1: get your home sale-ready

First impressions count — online and during viewings. Small things often make a big difference: decluttering, small repairs, fresh styling. And invest in professional photos: they're the calling card of your home. During the first meeting we walk through the home together and tell you honestly what could be better.

Step 2: set a tailored asking price

The asking price is strategy: too high and your home sits, too low and you leave money on the table. Based on recent sales in the neighbourhood, the current market and your wishes, we determine the price that delivers the best end result together. Substantiated with data, not gut feeling.

Step 3: viewings and negotiation

Every viewer deserves attention: people who are well informed bid with confidence. Then the negotiating starts — and that's about more than just the price. The conditions, the completion date and the resolutive conditions also determine whether an offer is truly good. We take care of all of it.

Step 4: purchase deed and key handover

Home sold? Then all agreements are recorded watertight in the purchase deed. We explain every clause in plain language — wading through documents full of jargon makes (almost) nobody happy. After the statutory cooling-off period come the final inspection and the transfer at the notary. Yes! The key handover.
